The field of magnetization dynamics encompasses a broad range of topics, including the dynamic behavior of nanostructured magnetic systems, statistical aspects of magnetization processes, high-frequency magnetotransport phenomena, non-destructive magnetic characterization techniques, computational methods, sensors, and electronic applications, among others. This area is of significant technological relevance and continues to attract strong interest from both fundamental and applied research perspectives.
Over the past decades, the number of scientists and research groups working in the field of magnetism has increased considerably. In this context, LAW3M aims to bring together students, researchers, and academics from around the world who are engaged in magnetism and related areas. It is a traditional conference promoted by the Latin American Association of Magnetism (ALMA) and serves as a unique platform for presenting cutting-edge research conducted by Latin American scientists to the international scientific community.
The LAW3M series began in 1991 and has since been held every two to three years in Central and South American countries. Previous editions took place in:
The XIII Latin American Workshop on Magnetism, Magnetic Materials, and Their Applications will be held in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, from October 19 to 23, 2026. The workshop is organized by the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN).
The XIII LAW3M is financially supported by the following institutions: CNPq, CAPES, PPG Física/UFRN, DFTE/UFRN, UFRN, the Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials (JMMM), and the IEEE Magnetics Society.
